Wentworth Family Grocery is your local family owned and operated grocery store offering high quality foods, custom cut meat, fresh produce, friendly service, and great prices.  With four locations in Waldo County, we are your neighbor. 

 

Our family-owned stores are quite literally full of family.  JP and Rhonda Wentworth along with their children and spouses, and other extended family members, are heavily involved in the daily operations of the business.  You may find them doing everything from plowing driveways, stocking coolers, putting up freight, or running the registers.  We also have our store-family made up of friendly, experienced, and helpful staff. We are all here to help you find exactly what you are looking for, and to help regarding all the products we carry.  Whether you need a gallon of milk, supplies for a party, or a pizza for dinner, we’ve got you covered.

 

Our Brooks location is our first.  This location was previously owned by JP Wentworth’s grandparents, Zenaide and Lloyd Wentworth, from 1945-1967.  In 1982 it was purchased by JP Wentworth.  The location was sold in 1997 to focus on dairy farming, but then JP went back into the grocery business in 2006.  This location is currently in the process of being rebuilt across the street from the original building.  Stay tuned for updates and pictures as we move along in the process.

BROOKS LOCATION

Our Brooks location was the first Wentworth Family Grocery store, officially known as JP Wentworth’s for a good many years.  This location offers a wide variety of products from ham sandwiches, fresh cut meat, delicious baked goods, to hunting and fishing supplies.  Stop in and visit, check out all we have to offer and the progress on our new building!

 

NORTHPORT LOCATION

Our Northport location was purchased in 2007 and then rebuilt in 2009.  This location offers a great variety of products, as well as easy on and off access to route 1.  Be sure to visit us and check out our grocery selection, talk with our meat department about specials and bulk ordering, or grab some great deals from the wall of values.

                                                                                     

BELFAST LOCATION

Our Belfast location, which is our convenience store, has been part of our family since 2016.  We have renovated this location as well as updated the gas station.  At this location you will find a few things that may surprise you for a convenience store.  We offer everything from a small meat and produce selection, to a beer cave, and take-out.   

SWAN LAKE LOCATION

Our Swan Lake location is the most recent addition to the Wentworth Family Grocery stores having been purchased in 2022.  We have a meat department offering everything from burger to oven-ready meals, a jungle of a produce section, great grocery deals, and whoopie pies from our bakery that can’t be beat.
